| The
Wind Singer by William Nicholson The wind singer is a
brilliant book by William Nicholson. It is about two boys and a girl they start in a town called aramanth which is controlled by
ratings the higher your rating the better your district. There are five districts: white, scarlet, orange, maroon and grey
(that is in descending order). The girls name is Kestrel along with her brother Bowman and her unlikely friend Mumpo they set off to
find the wind singer's voice to stop exams for ever. Kestrel had known about the under lake but had never wanted to go in it but she
did and found that all they ate were mud nuts. When they left the under lake they found a big town on wheels the town thought they
were spies and sentenced them to death by going to war against another rolling
city. Will they live to find the wind singers
voice??? My rating for this book is four and a half
stars! |
