| The
Recruit by Robert Muchamore
The Recruit is an excellent book by Robert Muchamore.
The Recruit is about a young boy called James and his sister Lauren.
James is the toughest boy in school but he has a
weak spot it is his mum. His mum is huge, so huge in fact that she
had to buy clothes from a special catalogue for fat
people. One day day a girl from his class (Her brother is part most
violent gang in their town) starts to tease James about his mum.
Eventually James got so angry that he pushed her against the wall
harmless enough but her ear got caught against a nail and got cut.
James ran from school after that and went home. When he got to his
home he had a shock because his mum had died. James and Lauren went
to an orphanage. Lauren only stayed there for one day before her
father came to pick her up. James stayed with a roommate called Kyle.
One night when James was asleep someone took him to a place. That
place is called CHERUB headquarters where James undergoes five tests
he passes all five test and enters CHERUB. What does CHERUB do? CHERUB
is a secret spy agency that use teenage children between 10 to 17 as
their spies, why you ask? Well I will give you an example you a
little example, a man might go to an old woman's house and knock on
the door and ask to go in the old woman would most likely say no yet
if a boy knock on the door and said my father has had an accident
the old woman would most likely see if she could help and as she
steps out the boys dad would hit her on the head with a frying pan.
Eventually James finishes basic training and goes on a mission.
Will they finish the mission???
