Slaves of the mastery is another brilliant book by William Nicholson
it is also the sequel to the wind singer.
Five years have passed and Aramanth has become very weak because
they thought the wind singers voice could protect them from
everything but one day a commander from the mastery called Marius
Semeon Ortiz (usually shortened to Ortiz) was going to amaranth to
burn it to the ground and capture everybody in the city to use as
slaves for the master he ruled the mastery. on one of the twenty
four day march they got numbers branded in to their arms to mark
they were slaves.
Eventually they got to the mastery and were shown their slave quarters
and got asked what they wanted to do.
Ortiz had captured everybody in Aramanth except Kestrel (Kess). She
vows revenge on the mastery and by chance she finds a princess that
is going to be married to the masters son. Kess finds out the princess
has to dance the Tarzana masters son but she does not know how so
the decided that kess should do it because the dance teacher says she's
pretty much professional. what will happen at the mastery??? My rating for this book is four and a half
